Official Statement – SNSI’s Position

SNSI speaks out regarding the public accusations involving one of its certified instructors.

In recent days, SNSI has been publicly mentioned in connection with a serious accusation of sexual violence involving one of our affiliated instructors. The case has drawn significant media attention and increasing pressure on social media.

First and foremost, we want to state clearly and unequivocally that SNSI strongly condemns any form of sexual violence and any behavior that endangers the dignity and safety of individuals.

We received formal notification April 11 2025 demanding an immediate action (Internal Case #1000625) regarding the alleged conviction of the instructor in question. We are actively requesting and collecting official documentation directly from the legal authorities. Any definitive action—such as the revocation of certification—will be taken based solely on the verified judicial records, not on partial reports, media articles, or social media campaigns.

Current privacy and data protection laws require us to uphold the confidentiality of the individuals involved until full clarity on the events has been completed by SNSI. Transparency is a core value for us, but it must be balanced with legal obligations and respect for all parties concerned.

Taking a hasty decision simply to appease public pressure would mean betraying our principles of fairness and impartiality. The easiest path—giving in to a media storm—is not, and will never be, SNSI’s path.

I am a woman, and I am the CEO of SNSI. Under no circumstance would I ever support an abuser or anyone convicted of a sexual offense. But precisely because I believe in justice, I am equally committed to ensuring that any decision by an international agency like ours is based on documented facts, not public opinion.

We strongly reject all claims that SNSI supports or protects aggressors.

It is also untrue that SNSI intentionally blocked users to silence the discussion. If any blocks occurred, we will investigate them technically and provide clarification.

Finally, SNSI will protect its reputation and integrity in the appropriate legal manner. False and defamatory claims made against SNSI will be legally addressed.

The safety of our diving community and respect for each individual remain our highest priorities.
