The course
Breathing a mix richer in oxygen changes the way you plan a dive, and it is often the first step a diver takes beyond air. Guiding them through that step is one of the most concrete ways to help your students grow.
In the Recreational Nitrox Instructor course you learn to teach certified divers how to dive breathing Nitrox with an oxygen percentage from 22% to 40%: how to plan, which limits to respect, and why every mix must be analyzed before the dive.
Once certified you can run the SNSI Recreational Nitrox Diver course and, where available, the Open Water Diver with the Nitrox 32 option. It is also the step that opens the way to the Gas Blender Instructor and, together with the Divemaster Instructor, to the technical instructor courses.
